  1. I would choose the Lenovo 9i Aura Edition, expensive, yes, but I’ve been using their top of the range Yoga from 6 years ago (also expensive at the time). I loved the feel of the one I have as it does feel premium with it’s solid titanium colour aluminium case, and it has never failed me yet (a battery replacement would be beneficial now though). I use my existing Yoga for extensive photoshop work, I pair it with my Sony A7R V Mirrorless to transfer video and photos, and also use it with Davinci Resolve for video editing on a regular basis. I’ve watched movies and used it with Ableton Live for some music editing and production. So, an all round great tool. Which is why I will be buying this newer version as it will hammer through the tasks I already do regularly.

I like the idea of the 2TB SSD option on the newer one, as currently my Yoga has a 512 SSD, which means for large video, I am also using an external SSD as well (which I’d still keep with the new Yoga for archiving and backup duties!). My current Yoga also has only 16Gb Ram as opposed to 32 Gb on the latest one, so another useful upgrade for dealing with media as I do. Thanks for the comparison – I was looking for what else was available in a relatively light/portable format, and the fact my experience with the Lenovo Yoga has been positive, I will almost certainly be getting another Yoga.
