John V. is back again with the end of year results of the Tom’s Guide Battery Test, ranking the best phones for battery life based on our official benchmarks. All of the smartphones on this list launched in 2025, and while these aren’t our rankings for the best phones of the year overall, this list hones in battery life performance. Some are flagship handsets you’ll definitely recognize like the iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra, but then we’ve got Moto G 2026 and even the Razr Ultra. It was a very good year for OnePlus when it comes to battery life testing, too!

What are you looking for in a smartphone? Absurdly long battery life or the latest processor?
Moto g stylus?
I own a Oppo A6 pro 5G(EU version with 6.500 mah battery)! The battery is soooo good! I have 6 hours of screen on time and i still have 49% battery! But this top is a lie😅 iPhone and Samsung WILL NOT gives you more than 7-8 hours of screen on time with medium to intense using!
Wanted to see the oppo x9 pro
Should clarify that this only seems to test phones easily available in the US, because there are quite a lot missing, such as the Find X9 Pro and the Redmagic 11 Pro
